Another real, raw, “Christian” mommy blogger comes out

Now that Jen Hatmaker has made Christian and Gay Okay, another popular blogger many Christian women follow announced on Facebook and Twitter that she has a new girlfriend. The Washington Post picked it up over the weekend:

MeltonChristian author Glennon Doyle Melton — known as the “ultimate confessional writer” for her honest portrayals of her struggling marriage, addiction and eating disorder — has opened up with another big revelation.

She is dating again, her new partner is a woman and that woman is celebrity soccer champ Abby Wambach.

The blonde pair smiled together in a photo posted Sunday night on the Momastery blogger and mom of three’s Facebook page. “Oh my God, she is so good to me. She loves me for all the things I’ve always wanted to be loved for. She’s just my favorite. My person,” wrote Melton, best known for her 2014 New York Times bestseller “Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful Life” and 2016 memoir “Love Warrior,” an Oprah Book Club pick.

A couple of things should be jumping out at you right now. I’m hoping it’s Romans 1:26–27, 1 Corinthians 6:9–11, 1 Timothy 1:9–10 and Jude 1:7

Melton has long affirmed that same-sex marriage is not sinful and celebrating love in various forms.  Her new book, “Love Warrior,” is about the brokenness and healing around her husband’s infidelity.

The divorced Melton (three months ago from husband Craig of 14 years), says her husband supports her homosexual relationship and that they make a “beautiful, modern family” together.

See our White Paper: Homosexual Agenda

Like many Christian women bloggers, Melton is known for the “feels” writing style so popular today: real, raw, authentic, brokenness that focuses on our “messiness” (the replacement word for sin), rather than the new creation she should be in Christ, but isn’t. Instead of encouraging women to overcome sin through confession, her confessional style glorifies and normalizes the very sin Jesus shed his blood to forgive.

Why am I writing about this? Because Melton regularly speaks at Christian events and churches. Because she has been deceiving her huge following into thinking that she is a true follower of Jesus Christ. Because several of my Facebook acquaintances are followers who’ve liked her page (I will be reaching out to each of them privately), and you probably have friends who follow her too. And finally, because we ought to pray not only for those deceived, but for Melton herself. In His timing, perhaps the Lord will impress upon her the need to repent.

“Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”   1 Cor 6:11

Surprised? Not at all. Nothing in professing Christendom surprises me any longer. People of her stripe prosper because the professing sheep have absolutely no discernment. Give it a quasi-Christian title and the bookstores will hawk it and the sheeple will buy it. And, it will only get worse as the end of this age draws to a close. May the God of Grace have mercy on us.

So true Ron, the sheeple are all jumping where there is no fence.

As an unrepentant sexual deviant, her position is nothing more than a mockery of God’s word and will anyway. She does not represent the Christian way any more than she represents God himself. She forsake him recently to pursue her unnatural lusts for women, therefore he has forsaken her and any who follow her.

    Glen Doyle Melton (On FACEBOOK)
“A woman in our community left this comment. She wrote how I feel. Let us allow this to make us more human, not less. Let it bring us closer to all of those who have been oppressed and forgotten. Let us all- finally- rise up TOGETHER. First the pain, Now The Rising.”
    https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10154696553584710&substory_index=0&id=178909129709

Glen is using all of the keywords that everyone, Christian and not Christian, is using: together, rise up, rising.

      TogetherRising

      “Glennon Doyle Melton
Studies show that around the world and here at home- the surest way to lift a family or community is to lift a woman. When a woman rises, she brings her people up with her. When she rises, families rise, communities rise, and the world rises. Together Rising exists to heal the world, one HER at a time.”

My wife has many former friends who worship this lady, despite her outrageously unsound doctrine and her hints about being pro gay over the years. Why do they adore her? Because she is attractive, is charismatic, tells mommy stories of her failures, and sprinkles in some generic christian words and phrases. She is literally everything wrong with christianity. She, like all the other false prophets and teachers make up a fake Jesus who tickles their itching ears. Sin is irrelevant. True repentance is irrelevant. The Bible is only relevant for cherry picking scriptures that seem to justify or grace over unrepentant sin. There are no such verses of course.
My wife said that she doubts that this revelation will wake any of her friends up. Why? Because they have already exchanged the truth of God(the word) for a lie( worshipping charismatic deceivers), and worshipped the created (men and women) rather than the creator, and thus, they too will suffer the due penalty for their perversion of the truth.

The road is so very narrow, and few, especially in the vain american church…will find it. I pray that changes.

Hey there. Reading this as a Non Christian, and I have to say… you all sound miserable. Aren’t you supposed to include others and spread your gospel? All there is here is exclusion and judgement. Seems definitely not what Jesus would do. Or did I miss the part in the Bible where he said judging others was great and you decide whose sin was worse than yours etc etc? Let me know.

      • Mandy March 13, 2017 at 11:14 am #

Your wife should maintain friendships with people she disagrees with. How un Christlike would that be to end all friendships if someone likes something you don’t? Again, that sounds miserable. Hopefully she can open her heart to her friends and find common ground.

Folks remember the time we are living in. These pro homosexual false Christians will turn on those that profess Jesus and scripture, even family members will turn on Christians within the family. The Great Apostasy is unfolding before our eyes and how many can see it? Get ready! Things are going to get worse! But, God is in control not man, not the devil!

  5. Manny1962 November 14, 2016 at 11:53 pm #

“Melton has long affirmed that same-sex marriage is not sinful and celebrating love in various forms.”

That should be been not a red flag, but a red flare! Didn’t anyone see this coming? She’s not a Christian, I don’t care what anyone says, she’s been affirming this abomination for a long time! Why is anyone surprised it came to fill fruition?

    “Like many Christian women bloggers”

Once again, she’s not a Christian!

Folks the onslaught is heavy! Coming from deep inside Churchianity! We who still hold to Jesus Christ and the veracity of scripture will soon feel more heat. This is part and parcel of what the prophets said would happen. They’re coming out of the work, either affirming it or confessing they are! I feel like my head is going to explode! There’s no shame……….and those that follow these women are shameless and deluded!

Folks the time is now here, we have to make a choice, either get away from these vile heretics or condone what they say and do………….it’s out in the open, flagrant, and it stinks of sulphur. The judgement that is coming will be relentless, don’t get caught up in this mess! Like God said, come out of her my people. Let’s see how many do called pastors will support this……………..

I agree with all the posts. So many people, such as this so-called Christian author, will twist anything around to fit with their sinful lifestyle. While it is good to know what is going on in the world and to warn others about false teaching, the next best thing sincere Christians can do is ignore these heretical characters. Publicity only furthers the wrong cause.

I had never heard of this woman so took a look for myself. And reading through her facebook posts and comments I could not help but feel sorry for her and oh so sad. I saw a broken person pandering to and loving and promoting self, and was reminded of the words of Paul to Timothy in chapter 3:1-9. I also saw many silly/gullible/vulnerable broken women of verse 6. Who need the truth presented to them with love and understanding. I was then reminded of chapter 4:3-4.

She really believes she is a leader of her ‘community’. And yet she models a terrible family life far removed from God’s model. She uses raw language. What God thinks does not matter as long as she can be herself. I wonder what will her girls think and become later in life although they all might enjoy this hip feminist different lifestyle now along with mother’s girlfriend and father’s new woman. This sad lady is going to come crashing down. This marvellous freeing relationship and love she is enjoying today will not last. I prayed there will be a good solid godly bible believing woman on hand to help her pick up the pieces and share THE gospel with her and gently help restore her from her years of wrong thinking.

There are many such people out there where we live or work. Let’s be reaching out in compassion with the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ which can move those tricked and blinded and held in bondage by Satan and transfer them to HIS kingdom. Which is truth and liberty and love.

    • Manny1962 November 16, 2016 at 8:39 am #

Amen Susan, amen. At the end of the day its man worshipping himself. And this culture promotes it, mandates it and legitimizes it. No wonder God is going to judge this world.

Deuteronomy 29-16-20 is a warning that woke me up to my apostasy (sin, not messiness” decades ago:

“16 For ye know, how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt, and how we passed through the midst of the nations, which ye passed by.

17 And ye have seen their abominations and their idols (wood and stone, silver and gold) which were among them,

18 That there should not be among you man nor woman, nor family, nor tribe, which should turn his heart away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations, and that there should not be among you any root that bringeth forth gall and wormwood,

19 So that when he heareth the words of this curse, he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, although I walk according to the stubbornness of mine own heart, thus adding drunkenness to thirst.

20 The Lord will not be merciful unto him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and every curse that is written in this book, shall light upon him, and the Lord shall put out his name from under heaven.

“And as it was in the das of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Like wise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” Luke 17:26-30 “Remember Lot’s wife.” Luke 17:32. Many so called Christians think they are okay now that they have elected their man. I talk to people, the holidays are coming they are relieved, and will probably spend more money to buy things they don’t need, and continue to spoil their children. Meanwhile in school the children are learning the ways of the world spoken of in Romans 1 with no thought of God our Savior, but of the world and their definition of love, acceptance, and tolerance. You might want to watch this video about video games and see why children have turned away from God. https://thebereancall.com/collections/dvds/products/game-over-it-s-not-just-a-game-1 maybe you an watch it here: https://livestream.com/bereancallconference/events/3276930

Glennon is one of Oprah’s choices for a spot on her Super Soul 100 list of “100 awakened leaders who are using their voices and talent to elevate humanity.” Glennon’s new book, Love Warrior, is an Oprah’s Book Club 2016 selection. Glennon is also part of Together Un-Conferences with other women, one of whom is her girlfriend, Abby Wambuch, and two others of whom are on Oprah’s Super Soul 100 list, Sophia Bush and Gina Rodriguez. Here is a link for the Together Un-Conferences: http://www.togetherlive.com/ .

According to the website: “We created Together with a clear intent—to unite people across backgrounds and generations to support, inspire, and elevate one another to ignite the change we want to see in the world. This year, we launched a six city un-conference that featured diverse, honest and heartfelt speakers sharing their stories and celebrating the real, vulnerable and imperfect moments that define us. An incredible evening of storytelling: sharing heartbreak, celebrating hope, and finding purpose.
The Together Community is dedicated to helping each of us identify our unique purpose and turn that purpose into action.”

Together is NOT promoted as Christian. Glennon is “linking arms” and “uniting” with the world” (and Oprah) to promote its causes, NOT to spread the Gospel and save souls from eternal damnation.

Glennon has also recently done an Architects of Change LIVE interview with Maria Shriver, which is according to the AOC website, “a gathering for and about people brave enough to challenge what is, imagine what can be, and move humanity forward.” This interview is not Biblical in any way.

The missing common thread is Jesus Christ…………… Not one of those women think they need Him. All I see is EGO worship being disguised as moving forward, enlightened people, challenging, honest, heartfelt………. This is nothing more than good ol’ fashioned new age speak. This is demonic.

    • Molly November 17, 2016 at 12:52 am #

Yes, you are right. Everything that Glennon said in her interview with Maria Shriver was very, very new age and very focused on self. Glennon talked about yoga and how it has been helpful to her. She also talked disparagingly about church and Christians. I had no idea who Glennon was before Amy wrote this article. It’s just terrible how these women elevate man, reject Jesus Christ, and don’t acknowledge our sinfulness.

Molly, thanks for this information. I’m curious if you would happen to know if this woman (Melton) is still identifying herself as a Christian or if she has now abandoned that label. There seem to be at least two camps: those who still say they are Christian while embracing the sin of homosexuality and those who say they are no longer Christian (e.g., Katy Perry).

        • Molly December 4, 2016 at 5:00 pm #

Hi berlorac, I don’t think Glennon has said that she has said she is no longer Christian or I just haven’t seen that she has. In the Maria Shriver Architects of Change video, she calls Christianity her “faith tradition; ” I am not exactly sure what that means. I know that she is speaking at the General Synod for the United Church of Christ in June/July 2017. According to the UCC twitter page, “The United Church of Christ is a #multiracial, #multicultural, #LGBT affirming, accessible to all, #Christian denomination.”

I really think that all of these apostate, visible Christians are trying to redefine and liberalize what it means to be Christian by using some of the terminology of the Bible without the doctrine. A few days ago Glennon called God a SHE in an Instagram post: https://www.instagram.com/p/BNbzkivBlz9/ UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!
