Beth Moore launching a new TV program on TBN

Elizabeth Prata of The End Times reports that Bible teacher and author Beth Moore, a Southern Baptist, will make her debut on a weekly television program on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.  TBN was founded by Word of Faith heretics Paul and Jan Crouch.  Many high-profile Christians choose not to appear on TBN because they believe that doing so would be akin to dancing with the devil.

So it is curious that Beth Moore will be doing a weekly show on TBN.  Prata fills us in on the details.

One of the behaviors that illustrate bad fruit and indicate a teacher’s falseness is who a person chooses to associate with. I have written in the past about Moore’s association with the Osteens, both Joel and Victoria, and her manning the pulpit at Lakewood Church. I’ve also written about Moore’s donations to Lakewood “for ministry support” to the tune of over $40,000.  Moore has more recently partnered with Joyce Meyer, a blasphemously heretical teacher, on Meyer’s TV program. Moore associates with Christine Caine and Roma Downey as well, and the list could go on. Far from being the Southern Baptist Convention’s conservative and excellently exegetical darling, Moore is a false teacher leading millions of women astray every day.

The Bible warns us about false teachers. The moral and doctrinal purity of the church is something Jesus takes extremely seriously. To show the seriousness, He killed Ananias and Sapphira on the spot in Acts 5 for lying to the Spirit. To continue to illustrate how serious He is about the moral and doctrinal purity of the church, the Spirit inspired almost every NT writer to repeat the warnings, and caused many them to write many commands on what to do when encountering such doctrines and the people who bring them. Here are just two:

If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, (2 John 1:10)

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.(Romans 16:17)  Continue reading

I have read your article and I am flabbergasted at the judgmental hypocrisy. First, of the teachers you compared her too she…… is far removed doctrinal. She does not preach word of faith or the prosperity gospel. I agree with you about sound doctrine but, I question your practice of twisting scripture to fit your judgements. Beth Moore has never taught the things that Joel Osteen does or Joyce Myers. Next, I have seen many evangelicals on Jan and Paul’s network. If you are twisting the 2 John 1:10 to say that she should be condemned because she is teaching a strange message you are wrong. She preaches the gospel of salvation. Christians historically disagree on doctrinal issues like the trinity. No apostle taught it. It was introduced hundreds of years later. Eternal security. Some teach you can lose your salvation others don’t. Does baptism save? Some teach you have to be baptized to be saved. Others don’t. It is sad that I have not seen articles condemning Christmas or Easter. Neither holiday is mentioned in scripture and both are colored by pagan, dates, times and practices. What about Halloween? It was once a holy day. Christian have made Christmas the most holy day on their calendar and it is not on Christ birthday and has more to do with Santa and commercialism than worshiping the son of God. Check the board in your eye
first………There are things we must agree upon to be a Christian church or bible teacher. Other things we can agree to disagree. Criticizing and demonizing is not the solution. Jesus said leave the tares their until the harvest.

What a pack of lies and nonsense!!! You identify yourself as “Elder…” only to give the unsuspecting the idea that you actually know what you are talking about—which you do not. First of all if BM was what she claims to be (a Christian) she would not be teaching the multiple heresies that she loves nor would she ever teach men, which she does. She is ecumenical to the core as seen in her presentations (I refuse to call what she does ‘teaching’ or a ‘sermon’, it is indoctrination in the ways of the wicked one) and calls anyone who claims to be in a “Christian denomination” her brother/sister, even those of the pagan rcc. She says that we can and should hear the audible voice of God and claims that she has heard that ‘voice’ on many occasions. Her “message” is that of a ‘feel-good gospel’ (which is no Gospel at all) exactly like the one you hear from Osteen, Meyer, Caine, et al. She has no respect for the Word of God as she changes it on the whim de jour to fit her audience and to set herself up as some sort of authority—and “elders” such as yourself fall for her lies hook, line, and sinker.

It is not surprising to read that you support and excuse BM on all fronts because your unbiblical views expose yourself as a fraud, a hireling and a liar. You said “Christians historically disagree on doctrinal issues like the trinity. No apostle taught it.” That, sir, is a bald-faced lie. There are no less than 80 separate and distinct and DIRECT references to the Trinity in the NT alone, not to mention that Moses wrote about the Trinity, Job knew it, David knew it, as did Daniel and his three friends. You claim to be an “elder” and do not know these things? What good are you to the Body of Christ if you allow such damnable heresies to stand unopposed? Why do you agree with them, “elder?”

Actually, “elder”, there is nothing that we are permitted to “agree to disagree on” when it comes to sound doctrine. If that were the case isn’t that the same as saying that the Holy Spirit teaches one man a certain “truth” and the guy on the other side of town is taught the opposite by the same Spirit? That’s precisely what your demonic reasoning leads to and not only that but it comes dangerously close to being a direct blasphemy of the Holy Spirit—which many at TBN and elsewhere have done long ago. You even have the gall to say that “Criticizing and demonizing is not the solution” as if that will quell all the arguments against you and BM for allowing and promoting lies. There are over forty separate occasions where Jesus not only confronted the likes of you and BM, but exposed them, humiliated them, and sent them packing with their tail tucked under their legs like a scared dog. The Lord was being kind to the tares, the unrepentant religious elites (kinda like you, “elder”) by giving them time to repent of their wickedness. Will you, “elder” avail yourself of the same opportunity and repent?

Wow…we sure do like throwing the word heretic and hypocrisy around don’t we? The irony in this is that both parties accusing the other of doing this appear to be doing it as well. So, who is the heretic? Beth Moore? “Elder” Conwell, Darrel? I’m sure I’ll be among them by the time this is finished. So many people accuse others of being “false” teachers. I’m not going into details here for the sake of time and a long post that nobody will read. But, many people who accuse others of being “false teachers” have no idea what this really means and you may need to go deeper in research and try not taking scripture out of context in the process. I looked up this article because I have always thought of Beth Moore as a teacher who teaches sound doctrine. I have done many of her studies in my life and although I don’t always agree with her on everything, one thing I know is that she takes care to correctly interpret scripture. She does her homework. So, I was curious about her association with TBN (What I call “The Blasphemy Network”) and her association with others who are teaching a false doctrine (opposite to her beliefs even). Here’s my conclusion. Jesus was crucified for being a “false prophet”. He was crucified by his very own followers. He was judged because he hung out with sinners and tax collectors. He was criticized for how he respected and honored women and made them feel worthy. He was considered a rebel and dangerous. Perhaps Beth, who takes care to rightly interpret Truth, is hanging out in a place where the message she is convicted to deliver will be heard by those who need to hear it most. As far as the whole “pagan” celebration of different holidays…well, perhaps somr need a really good Christian history lesson and perhaps need to spend a little more time in the New Testament. Every Day belongs to God. He created the day. There is no “Pagan” day. For everything God’s people do, the enemy creates a counterfeit. Pagans may celebrate an “evil” form of Easter…that doesn’t mean Christians who celebrate it on this day have anything to do with the Pagan form of the celebration. It is not wrong to worship God on Sunday. The Sabbath Day was given to the Jews as a preparation for the arrival of the True Sabbath. It was given to teach them how to rest but they were so bound by all the man-made rules as to what rest means that they worked harder on the Sabbath trying to keep it, than any other day of the week! This was the point…God gave us the Sabbath to teach us and prepare us for the True Rest He would send through His Son. Jesus IS our Sabbath rest. To believe He died and rose again but still be in bondage to the OT Covenant instead of set free by the New Covenant (Jesus is the fulfillment of the old one) is to live as if Jesus has not come yet. The New Covenant has 2 commandments. Love God, Love others. They are all the OT laws encompassed and fulfilled through God’s Holy Spirit in us. He teaches us and guides us to walk in Christ and cleanses us from all unrighteousness. The Sabbath day in OT times was never a time of rest. So much work was done in the bondage to rules because the Sabbath had not yet been fulfilled in the coming of Christ. It was impossible for anyone to keep the Sabbath according to OT laws (or the tens of thousands of rules stemming from the 10 Commandments). That’s exactly why Christ came! We are to rest in Christ…every day. So much judgement…so little understanding. God is the only one who can judge the heart because He is the only one Who knows the heart. We can judge behaviors…but if you want to say that who we “hang out” with reflects where we are in our hearts….then Jesus was the chief of all sinners and therefore could not be the Son of God and those who crucified Him were right to do so….and we are all bound for Hell.

The correct name is Elizabeth Prata (not Prada).

  3. Jeannette January 2, 2016 at 12:04 pm #

So my question is have you called Beth and talked to her personally about all this????????????? I would love to hear her response to you about this!!

    • Kyle Anthony January 2, 2016 at 4:37 pm #

This is a solid article despite some literary mistakes. ^^ Jeannette, it’s obvious that you are a fan of Beth Moore. This article is very accurate, in many ways. Asking someone to call Beth is foolish. it would accomplish nothing at this point. Your “spirited” response shows everyone that you’re not very balanced and understanding. Another reason why you probably came to Beth’s defense. Please, make sure your heart is pure and you judge everything by the Word of God= Scripture.

    • Lonnie January 4, 2016 at 7:22 pm #

Sorry Jeanette but Beth Moore has an army of paid goons to protect her from rabble like us. She rolls with the millionaire club..I don’t think there is any way for an average person to have a sit down with her. She has a public so called ministry and leaves her open to public rebuke.

  4. Sola Scriptura January 3, 2016 at 1:21 pm #

Ridiculous! Sadly, none of these “christian leaders,” be they male or female actually preach the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. We all must boldly spread the pure gospel message without fear while there is yet time….

Sorry for a second comment. I would edit my first one if I could. Thank you so much for being willing to stand up and name names. The ONLY way some of the blind people who don’t know the word for themselves will discover that these popular teachers are greedy and fame-loving heretics is through articles like this. Thank you, thank you!
Please readers…know the word for yourselves, for it is as silver refined 7 times in a fire. Heaven and earth will pass away…but His word will never, ever pass away:

what makes you all experts of the gospel? all we can do is do our own study of the gospel and let God speak to us. do not listen to what anyone else says (including EVERYONE listed here). read God’s word for yourself.

    • Claudette January 6, 2016 at 9:34 am #

I agree with you Paris, we listen to the pastor preach on Sunday morning or the many TV pastors and live our lives following them instead of taking the word we received to God and studying what His Word tell us. How many of us can say that we agree with and know to be true every word that a pastor conveys? When do we stop putting them in the position that only God/Jesus can fill?

  7. lisa finklea January 6, 2016 at 9:48 pm #

Acts 17:11, Ephesians 6:10-20 – Figure it out for yourselves readers. Don’t ever rely on someone else without doing your part. That said…..1 Corinthians 13 might need to be read. Or perhaps Ephesians 4:15, Galatians 6:1, James 5:20, and Ephesians 4:29. There is a right way to correct/rebuke if you feel that person is wrong.

  8. Lucy February 5, 2016 at 10:39 pm #

Wow! First of all I have been in several Beth Moore studies and she has never claimed to hear an audible voice of God. In fact, she has said that she has not heard it, but that he has spoken to her heart. What a little box you keep God in if you think that God could not or would not talk in an audible voice to someone. Maybe your life has never required that bold of an intervention, but mine has, and it was two audible words from God. That is all two words. But I heard it loud and clear and I knew, at that point, my obedience was required of him. You can argue all about what a bible expert you are, but do not argue someone’s testimony. You have no idea how God has touched someone’s life or what it took for him to pull them out of their pit.

  9. Michael Blubaugh April 5, 2016 at 1:01 pm #

This is going to be short and sweet. Why do you have to be so mean and judgmental? Why can’t you just say, “I don’t agree with her?” Or better yet if you feel that committed she is doing something wrong pray for her and quit playing John the Baptist.

1Co 6:2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy of small judgments?
1Co 6:3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels, not to speak of this life?
1Co 6:4 If, then, you truly have judgments of this life, those being least esteemed in the assembly, you seat these as judges.
1Co 6:5 For I speak shame to you. So, is there not a wise one among you, not even one who will be able to give judgment on his brother in your midst?
