Heartland fury as university renovates chapel to accommodate Muslims

On the heals of a report over at Breitbart, World’s First Lesbian Bishop Calls for Church to Remove Crosses, to Install Muslim Prayer Space, Todd Starnes, host of Fox News and Commentary, fills us in on the “Christian cleansing” going on at Wichita State:

A decision to make a university’s chapel “faith neutral” to accommodate Muslim students has created great angst in the nation’s Heartland after critics were accused of being Islamophobic.

Last May, Wichita State University ordered workers to remove all the pews and an altar inside the Harvey D. Grace Memorial Chapel. The pews were ripped from the floor and replaced with portable chairs to make room for Muslim prayer rugs.

“Under the terms of Mrs. Harvey D. Grace’s gift to the university in her will, ‘This chapel will be open to all creeds and to all races of people,’” WSU President John Bardo said in a statement. “Our goal should be exactly what Mrs. Grace set out to do in her gift, to have an all faiths chapel that is welcoming to all religious groups on campus.”

But what happened at Wichita State wasn’t so much a renovation as it was a Christian cleansing. Anything remotely related to the décor of a Christian church was given the heave-ho.

The chapel’s stained glass windows are still intact – for now. But I would not be terribly surprised if they’re boarded up – for the sake of inclusivity.

“That space was always viewed as an interfaith for lots of folks,” WSU administrator Eric Sexton told me. “In the spirit of today – there was belief at the time this was discussed that the space was not as flexible for all to feel welcome and included.”

Nevertheless, the removal of the pews and altar was a step too far for alumni and donors.

“Why did they have to take out all the pews,” alum Jean Ann Cusick wrote on Facebook. Continue reading

none of this should be alarming. We must remember the ‘church’ is NOT a building, it is made up of sinners – called out ones from every tribe, tongue and nation. We do not need a building to worship God, we can worship Him in our homes.

An unregenerate lesbian is no ‘bishop’, nor does she represent the Christ of the Bible. She is an enemy of the cross, a child of Satan who does his bidding. May God have mercy.

    1. That is part of this ‘migrant’ agenda. a. to bring in a trojan horse of isis, b. to introduce more muslims into the already multicultural society, c. to have an excuse to use for more ‘interfaith’ implementations and inclusivity regulations leading to the one world religion of the end times under antichrist. d. to have a justification to eradicate borders and national sovereignity.

    2. Just as in the holocaust, crosses and representations of Christianity were slowly and then quickly removed (yet they want to blame the holocaust on Christians ironically), and the nazi flag hoisted in their place. Every reference to Christianity is always removed before Christian persecution begins. History proves this. Russia, China, North Korea, Germany, etc. And now… the US. I read similar accounts happening in Europe, like Sweden to ‘accomodate’ muslims at a regular church building not connected to anything else.

    3. Notice how if you are not on board with the gay agenda, they label you a ‘homophobe’ and if you are not in favor of an islamic invastion, they label you an ‘islamophobe’? It is just a way to prod the herd where they want them to go. We won’t call you a dirty name as long as you go along with our agenda. It is the true disciple who will stand against the tide of propaganda and societal pressure in order to remain loyal to Jesus. But no one has a name for those who hate Christianity and biblical standards like ‘Christianophobe’.

    4. To join in any way with other religions is to unite with the harlot of Revelation. True Christianity has no unity with them, nor can true Christians have any fellowship or unity with any other religions, or compromise with any sin. To do otherwise is to deny your Christian faith.
