Hillsong’s dance with the world

Screen Shot 2016-05-27 at 2.24.37 PM

I usually don’t expect to see a near-naked cowboy gyrating from the stage of a Christian women’s conference. Nor would I see and hear thousands of Christian females applauding and squealing in delight, and spurring on the performance.  Indeed if I were of the world, I’d expect these sights and sounds to come from a giant bachelorette party at a strip club.

I am not of the world. I like my women’s conferences to be edifying to me and glorifying to God. What I’m about to share from Hillsong New York’s women’s conference is neither of those things:

Family friendly Hillsong Includes the Dancing Naked Cowboy? by Churchwatch Central

…It has emerged that Hillsong recently had the ‘NY Naked Cowboy’ up on stage for their “Christian” Conference in the United States of America.

If you have a problem with this, according to Hillsong, you’re going to Hell.

“I think you are going to find [God] will deal with you. Big shocks ahead when judgmental people face their saviour. He only ever spoke harshly to the religious.” [Source]

Churchwatch Central today updated its story with the identity of the “naked cowboy,” as it turns out to be Hillsong’s NYC youth pastor:

If You’re Sexy and a Pastor, play the Cowboy?

If you didn’t pick up on the person’s name as these “Christian” women were swooning over the Naked Cowboy, his name (as seen in the above picture) is Diego Simila.

… And he is Hillsong’s NY Youth Pastor

Hillsong Youth Pastor Diego Simila: Hillsong’s Naked Cowboy

Who is Diego Simila? He was a model living for a few weeks in New York. In that short amount of time, he was asked by Hillsong leadership to be the Youth Pastor of Hillsong New York City, way back in 2010. In other words, he was rushed into Hillsong leadership because of his body (that’s the sad truth – isn’t it Carl Lentz).

“Let me give you a bit of background of Diego. He was in California. He had a boy band… and actually he was about to make it big and God told him to go to Hillsong Sydney to Bible College.

He left it all to pursue God. It was a fork in the road. He knew if he were to take that route it would be selling out his soul in his case and so he went to Hillsong…

Left it all. God’s favour just guided him. Amazing how many relationships out of the gate just happened for him. And then he left there after graduation. Went back to California. Was involved in a local church there and was doing some modelling and he was about to blow it up in the modelling scene and God told him he needed to go to New York City.

He didn’t have a job. In fact they didn’t even know he was coming. He lived homeless there for about three weeks and he was just jumping from couch to couch. But he was faithful, and all of a sudden in a short, short time, he winds up being asked, being told to be the Youth Pastor of Hillsong New York City, started in 2010.

Today they are 14,000 people and if you know anything about New York City, planting a church there is crazy it isn’t like the mid-west…

This is so icky. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Are we to expect temple prostitutes next?

Paul warned us in 1 Timothy 4:1-5 and 2 Timothy 4:1-5 that this would happen. People today scream “judge not” at the top of their lungs as a means of justifying sin. What people refuse to acknowledge is the Lord sent Paul in 1 and 2 Corinthians to rebuke the Corinthian church for the very things that Hillsong NY condones.

If God is okay with sin, which He is not, then somebody explain why Paul was sent to Corinthian church. Read the Word for what it says, not for what you want it to say.

Today, what is evil is called good, what is good is called evil. Hillsong is apostate, it is flagrantly spreading heresy and wickedness under the word tolerance. There’s no God in that abomination that calls itself a church. God has nothing to do with what goes on there or its conferences……..utter wickedness. Notice what they’re promoting……the world. It’s so sickening.

Hillsongs you dishonoured our God and the preciousness of His sons sacrifice.
He is the judge but you will not dishonour our Country . for in God we do trust. This trash was aired on Memorial Day.. The day we honour our fallen heroes. We have laws against you wrapping your junk in our American flag. You are about to meet a few folks from the unites States Armed services. Saved and unsaved. Hang your head in shame .

    Hey folks,
I don’t like the cowboy thing. But let me make a few things clear:
    a. He was NOT naked. Inappropriate? Yes. But not naked.

    2. Senior leadership was surprised and does not approve.
    http://hillsong.com/collected/blog/2016/06/have-you-heard-the-one-about-the-cowboy#.V1BI7mPwWRM

2.1. If this is so inappropriate, then why are you sharing it? You’ve taken a bad decision that affected hundreds and amplified it to thousands! By making a big deal about this, YOU are presenting this “inappropriate” material to the masses. It’s like decrying porn and then posting sample videos and images saying, “See! Isn’t that horrible!”

    C. In the time it took you to write this article, Hillsong has won more people to the Lord, cared for more poor folks, ministered to more hurting people, and done more discipleship than any of the critics here have ever done. That doesn’t excuse this bad decision, but it puts it in perspective.

IV. It’s time for y’all to get off your high horses and go DO something for Jesus. Writing and sharing junk like this might make you feel superior, but it’s not accomplishing anything for the Kingdom of God. You think you’re saving people from this dangerous movement. You’re not. You’re preaching to the choir. Go find a place to serve. Talk less. Do more. God will deal with Hillsong on Judgement Day in the way He sees fit. Personally, I think they will do pretty well but only He knows. He will also deal with you. Consider the parable of the talents.

      jesus said it best:

Matt 15:14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

no need to obsess over these antichrists. follow god and rest in his absolute sovereignty knowing that all things come from his will for a righteous purpose. even evil teachers like the Hillsong group.

Proverbs 16:4 The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

I don’t see him gyrating on the guitar??? Do you truely believe it’s honourable and Godly to spend your time writing articles defaming, LYING about and persecuting a church, its leaders and members. Have you even prayed about what you do? Have you even sort Gods will on this?

    • anastasiya gutnik June 3, 2016 at 9:45 pm #

exposing the false teachings of antichrists like Hillsong is a far cry from persecuting the church.

you might as well call Joseph Smith (the mormon founder) a Christian martyr.
