Pope Francis calls Donald Trump “not Christian” over wall stance

Ironically this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black.  Many Protestants believe that Pope Francis isn’t a true Christian either. Why?  Because he teaches a false gospel. (See our White Paper on the RCC). That aside, the Pope of Rome has no business injecting his personal views into  American politics the way he has.  Could his aim be to sway the election?  Two out of six candidates are Catholics — Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.   Would the pontiff  like to see a Catholic win the nomination and go on to become the next President of the United States?  Of course he would!  I mean, think about it.  Should either Bush or Rubio become president, the RCC would be in a much better position…..to rule the world.

Now to the Market Watch story:

Pope FrancisPope Francis on Thursday said Donald Trump’s stance on immigration was “not Christian,” in comments that immediately provoked a furor.

The pope was speaking to reporters on a flight back to Rome after a six-day trip to Cuba and Mexico.

“A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel,” he said, according to reports.

Trump, who’s leading in most national polls in the Republican presidential race, has proposed building a wall along the U.S.-Mexican border and having Mexico pay for it.

Trump immediately issued a news release in response, blaming the Mexican government for souring relations with the pope.

“The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them,” Trump said. “The Pope only heard one side of the story – he didn’t see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn’t see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation.”

Trump also said he would be proud to be a Christian and that no religious leader should have the right to question another man’s faith.

The papal comments stirred a response on social media — with jabs made at both figures.

The pope called Donald Trump “not Christian” Considering both of their public statements on salvation and faith, isn’t this a bit like Billy Graham calling John MacArthur “Not Muslim”?

I suppose The Christian thing to do would be to stop hoarding assets in Vatican City that could be used to provide assistance to the Mexicans and refugees he pretends to care about so much. Has he opened the doors of Rome to make room for them?

I think the Pope has a log in his own eye.

Well put Mike Fink! When the Pope actually takes the time to read his Bible, he will understand that there is only One Way to Salvation. As all roads DON’T lead to Rome, neither do all religions lead to eternal life. This man tries to please all and that’s not the way the Bible teaches. I quite like Donald. He says what others think!
