A Quantum Leap Into the Paranormal

In this piece over at truthXchange, Dr. Peter Jones warns that more and more people are experiencing visions of divine light…encounters with various blissful and wrathful archetypal deities…communication with spirit guides and superhuman entities…contact with shamanic power animals…

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

“Christian, stay alert!” advises Dr. Jones for we are “moving as a culture into a deep intimacy with the occult: from simple online ‘courses’ to outright shamanism, to after-school Satan clubs, and to ‘spirit cooking,’ to name just a few.”

Speaking of the world of the occult, Dr. Jones reveals that Carl Jung, one of the most influential psychologists of modern times “was widely and incorrectly received in the Western church as the first ‘Christian’ psychologist.” Dr. Jones reveals that Jung “admitted in his personal diary that the occult was the essence of his theories.” What is more, Jung channeled a spirit guide, Philemon, who was “an old man with the horns of a bull and the wings of a bird,” who, said Jung “represented a force which was not myself.”

I just received an invitation to sign up for a teaching webinar offered by Jean Houston, a highly popular occult channeler and close friend of Hillary Clinton. Houston’s series is entitled: Unlock your Quantum Powers. Her terminology is arcane and mystifying. What are our “quantum powers”? Her explanation doesn’t help: “You are an organism in the universe of totality.” This is only a fancy, seductive way of describing what folks in the new spiritual circles call “being one with nature.” Houston gets even more spiritual when she invites participants into a “Partnership with the collective consciousness of the universe,” since we are “co-creators with the Universe.” She goes on: “This session will shift your beliefs about the Universe onto a much more potent and stable foundation so you can begin to transform your life in leaps and bounds…” Houston boasts that people from 53 countries have already signed up for the seminar.

In 1995, Jean Houston claimed that the ancient Egyptian myth of Isis (the occult goddess of the underworld) is the only way to save our declining Western culture. Her terminology has become more “hip” and more deliberately [?] obscure, but the message is the same—only direct connection with the powers of nature and with the underworld will save us.

Such invitations to “nature spirituality” are becoming more openly and boldly paranormal.

I receive some very strange things in my inbox, as you can imagine. The day after Jean Houston’s invitation arrived, I received an advertisement from Gabby Bernstein, an attractive, thirty-something on-line guru who proposes the same kind of do-it-yourself spirituality. Gabby offers apparently harmless programs like “How I Start My Day & Tone My Butt!” or “How to Melt Away Stress and Anxiety.” But, like others, she offers spiritual approaches that are unapologetically occult. In Bernstein’s new course, “How to Talk to Your Spirit-Guides,” she declares that we all have “entities, guides, ancestors, angels, beings of light, who support us and surround us.” You can contact these spirit beings via meditation, during which your hands will tingle and your spirit guide will direct your hand to write things you need to know, even in another hand-writing.

Don’t be mistaken. Our up-to-the-minute slick websites, fitness techniques and streaming videos are not progressive, but regressive, sucking us backwards to the dawn of time—to the practices of ancient animism, to communion with spirits and to the worship of ancestors. A friend of mine, a Kenyan Christian theologian, Dr. Yusufu Turaki speaks of African ancestor worship, and of “direct communication from the spirit beings,” which he observed first hand growing up. For a brief overview of his views, see his chapter “Techniques of African Pagan Spirituality” in On Global Wizardry, a compendium of a truthXchange Think Tank.  Continue reading

Dr Jones is right on with his observations!! This is a sign of our times and will become more prevalent. A Christian history written a century ago (The Great Controversy) has several chapters included predicting accurately that these manifestations would increase as we approached the Second Coming of Christ. Paul predicts this in his writings of the New Testament and John in Revelation 16:14 is very clear on this subject. Please keep up the good work in searching the Scriptures for truth!

Yes, indeed. You are correct about the book. But most of her visions have already come true. It is important to read them for yourself and not depend on others for “fake news.” The characteristic of the Bereans is that they listen and compare. However, go to the book and read …… [DELETED BY ADMIN]

The Great Controversy is fake news. Seventh Day Adventism is a cult. I know I went to school there. Frank, please read Scripture and not what Ellen G. White says, and pray the Lord will open your eyes as He did mine. One thing I would like to say as well, there were two prophetesses mentioned in the New Testament, Anna whom God called a prophetess, and Jezebel who called herself a prophetess. (Luke 2:36, Revelation 2:20). The Old Testament mentions only 6. Why do the SDA’s ignore 1 Timothy 2:12, 1 Timothy 4:1-4, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8&9, Daniel in context. And the first day of the week. Luke 24:1, John 20:1, 20:19, Acts 20:7, 1 Corinthians 16:2. Lastly the mark of the beast is clearly stated in Revelation 13:16-18, Rev. 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, 20:4. The Bible does not say anywhere that it is people who go to church on Sunday. Luke 16 explains where dead people go (no soul sleep) Ellen G. White added to the word of God by her books and the SDA church added to their Bible (Clear Word) which is forbidden Rev.22:18-19.

Frank – the standard for the accuracy of prophecies is 100% per Deuteronomy 18. See below:
“But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”
        ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:20-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        http://bible.com/1/deu.18.20-22.kjv

The 7th Dayers mix law and grace but the law my friend, is gone…nailed to the cross. Paul addresses the sabbath twice. Once in Romans and here in Colossians:

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,”
        ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:14-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
        http://bible.com/1/col.2.14-18.kjv

Interestingly, the Colossians passages hits Ms. White’s lies hard, since she preached a false sabbath, even changed the timing of it and often claimed to be visited by angels. She was a liar and a false prophet. Flee from the mixing of law and grace and run only to the cross of Christ
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”
        ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen Sola! There is a book out called, “The White Lie” which pointed out much. See his link here: http://walterrea.com/ I live in a town where we have a Seventh Day Adventist hospital, school/church. Our town has other churches, such as Baptist (variations) Nazarene, Catholic, etc. They have mingled themselves with the Seventh Day Adventist church. They are combining services, sending their kids to the SDA schools etc. That is why I have had a hard time finding a church. I try to tell people about it but they won’t listen. The SDA’s won’t listen either. They are very hard to witness to just like any other cult including the Catholic’s. It is very good to know what they believe if we are to witness. The churches for the most part see no problem with apostasy (2 Thess. 2:3). Dale Ratzkaff has a great ministry in answering questions on Ellen G. White, he also has videos on YouTube. See the link here: http://www.ellenwhiteanswers.org/critics/dale-ratzlaff/ The SDA’s are under the Law! They are not Jews, and they don’t see in Scripture where God is talking to the Jews/A chosen nation in the Old Testament! I don’t hear them saying anything about the Jews, so I believe they are also into replacement theology, just like the Jehovah witnesses. Some even believe that Michael the archangel is jesus, I noticed they loved the movie Michael: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117038/ (which was disgusting) Just a thought. Blessings!

Thank you for those resources Nannette. I lived in Orlando until last month and that place is overrun with 7th Dayers, due largely to the breadth of the Florida Hospital System. They are impossible to witness to because of the brainwashing they’ve received about the sabbath and following the law. My accountant is a precious lady who is all in on those lies. I’m trying to figure out how best to reach her. Please toss up a prayer for her now. That book you mentioned might just be the ticket. Thanks.

Your welcome Sola. I have a dear friend who was Catholic who became born again, who encouraged me to read the Bible, and that is how I became born again while reading John 3. I asked the Lord to help me to be born again. I thought I was already a Christian, baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Church when I was 14 or 15. They never taught the gospel, they never spoke about being born again! It’s the Word of God that convicts the heart. The problem is Ellen G. White. Although they claim they don’t read her writings it in all their teachings whether they know it or not. I believe it was Dale Razlaff who made the point that with out the ‘Great Controversy’ there would be no Seventh Day Adventist Church. I always said in my heart when I was young, “who is Ellen G. White that I should listen to her?” while attending a live in Adventist Academy in Colorado I ran away from that school, and I never whet back to that church, even though I was not saved yet, although I thought I was. Praise God for His living Word! (Hebrews 4:12) I still have family members who are Seventh Day Adventist who I have been trying to get to read the Bible for themselves. They think they are Christians too, I pray for them daily! It is really hard to reach people who have been ‘TOLD’ what they are but they are really not~It’s truly frightening to think I almost went to hell (Matthew 7:22-23). Praise God for His Mercy! Blessings!

Is it any wonder Hillary Clinton just said:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/02/07/hillary-clinton-releases-video-statement-future-is-female.html

    • berlorac February 20, 2017 at 2:49 pm #

Hey Manny, that’s funny, I thought she didn’t believe in binary sexes. Doesn’t she advocate for transgenderism? Doesn’t she believe that gender is fluid? In her logic, it’s hard to say what “female” is and what it will look like in the future.

When professing Christians deny the veracity of Genesis 1:27, what can be next but the coming of our Lord Yeshua? Maranatha!

      • Manny1962 February 20, 2017 at 6:15 pm #

Lol! Hey B! Yes you’re right she does advocate all the depravity invented by man! But then again, the word logic and HC don’t mix! I always ask those that deny Genesis when do they start believing scripture……. Exodus? Leviticus? Matthew? Always get blank stares!

Old fashioned demon worship dressed up as something “deep” and “meaningful” to entice the shallow and aimless. As someone who has lost family members and loved ones to the living death of occultism these articles are heartbreaking, but as a Christian they reiterate the truth of God’s word and that’s reassuring.

This should not come as a surprise or a sudden revelation to anyone. It is simply the age-old enemy marching under the New Age banner.
