T.D. Jakes and Joyce Meyer Teaching Word of Faith “Little Gods” Doctrine

The late Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries penned this piece in 2014. In it he deals with the word-faith “little gods” doctrine. (Follow the link to his piece and scroll down to the end and check out the video of wolves teaching “little gods” heresy.)  Ken also reveals the names of several highly regarded evangelicals who have had no problem promoting word-faith prosperity preachers such as Jakes and Meyer.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God.” (Genesis 3:1-5)

This Type Of Lunacy In The Lord’s Name Is On Its Way Into The Heart Of The Visible Church

Apprising Ministries has long been sounding the warning about the growing acceptance of straight-up Word Faith prosperity preachers even within the very mainstream of rapidly apostatizing evangelicalism itself.

The evidence is clear, e, g. James MacDonald Was A Bit Late In Mainstreaming T.D. JakesT.D. Jakes Endorses WF Pastrix Paula White…Again and WF Preacher Brian Houston sats Christians Serve Same God as Muslims.

Concerning people who are influential within the Southern Baptist Convention there’s Beth Moore speaking at Brian Houston’s Hillsong Church as well as Rick Warren’s Saddleback Church Men’s Group studies Joyce Meyer.

Also as far back as 2012 we saw renowned evangelical apologist Ravi Zacharias calls Word Faith Preacher Joyce Meyer “Such a great Bible teacher” God is Using and Ravi Zacharias Praises Word Faith Preacher Joyce Meyer.

With this in mind, you need to know that one of the most blasphemous teachings in Word Faith theology is their repugnant Mormon-like mythology alleging  we are all “little gods”; that by creation man shares God’s nature.

In his piece The Word of Faith Movement Dr. Gary Gilley informs us:

Faith teachers like to teach, based upon serious mishandling of passages such as John 10:31-39 and II Peter 1:4, that Christians are “little gods.” Copeland says, “Now Peter said by exceeding great and precious promises you become partakers of the divine nature. All right, are we gods? We are a class of gods!” (Christianity in Crisis, p. 116).

Benny Hinn declares that “God came from heaven, became a man, made man into little gods, went back to heaven as a man” (ibid. p. 382 n. 43). Earl Paulk wrote, “Until we comprehend that we are little gods and we begin to act like little gods, we cannot manifest the kingdom of God” (Satan Unmasked, p. 97). (source)

8 or 9 years ago, I occasionally watched “Bishop” Jakes. When he described how he got tears in his eyes when Obama got the democrat presidential nomination, I stopped cold. His concern was not about the man, only about skin color. Their was no concern about Obama and the Rev Wright, or his positions on abortion or the LBGT travesty. Only skin color. That told me that his concerns were not advancing Christ’s word but only the things of this world. BTW, I am mixed race, several kinds of American Indian and several types of white. God does not care about the color of a man’s skin, only his belief in Jesus and his message.

It is amazing how these wolves keep people mesmerized, if one is not grounded in scripture it’s easy to walk into their snare!

Not sure what these so-called “wof” preachers teach since I don’t listen to them… but I do have a 1611 King James Bible… and if you don’t believe man was created in the image of God as the Lord’s Word teaches us in the Book of Genesis (or in Romans 8:29)… I suppose one could believe they are in the image of the devil which is the situation fallen man is in.

It’s funny how those that say they are in “discernment ministry” as if there is a 6 fold ministry… always seem to die early from sickness and have no way of casting out devils because to overcome both one must believe in speaking God’s promises as thought… God actually promised them.

Hard to have respect for those in the ditch on the prosperity preaching side (like all those high pollutin TV preachers) and those in the ditch on the other side (who’s ministry is spent pointing out others short comings)… cause both side are cherry pickers who do not accept the whole counsel of God as laid out in His written Word.

“Not sure what these so-called “wof” preachers teach since I don’t listen to them”

So how can you refute error if you don’t pay attention to what those that pass themselves off as teachers and pastors of Jesus’ flock are teaching?

“but I do have a 1611 King James Bible”
And you believe the 1611 is the only perfect translation?

…” and if you don’t believe man was created in the image of God as the Lord’s Word teaches us in the Book of Genesis (or in Romans 8:29)… I suppose one could believe they are in the image of the devil which is the situation fallen man is in.”

Man was created in the image, not in the character of God, man’s heart is bent to do sin, God does not sin in any way, He is perfect and perfectly holy!

      Genesis 6:5–
“5Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

“It’s funny how those that say they are in “discernment ministry” as if there is a 6 fold ministry… always seem to die early from sickness and have no way of casting out devils because to overcome both one must believe in speaking God’s promises as thought… God actually promised them.”

So you have to speak out the word?

“The fivefold ministry or five-fold ministry is a Charismatic and Evangelical Christian belief that five offices mentioned in Ephesians (Ephesians 4:11), namely those of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors (or “shepherds”) and teachers, remain active and valid offices in the contemporary Christian church”

So you believe in signs and wonders? Word of faith? Who has died early for upholding the accuracy of a teacher? Discernment is COMMANDED in scripture, that was the trademark of the Bereans, and Paul commended them for being discerning!

“Hard to have respect for those in the ditch on the prosperity preaching side (like all those high pollutin TV preachers)” TBN is a cesspool of false teachers that worship Mammon and fleece the gullible. Rightly they’re to be called out and shunned!

“and those in the ditch on the other side (who’s ministry is spent pointing out others short comings)… cause both side are cherry pickers who do not accept the whole counsel of God as laid out in His written Word.”

Really? So judging righteously according to scripture is wrong? Do you believe calling out a false teacher is wrong? Because that’s pointing fingers at their obvious shortcomings? Both sides are “cherry pickers” one side is judgemental the other side are false teachers, and neither side accepts the whole counsel of God as laid out in the written Word.

My friend, we are commanded to taste, judge and apply the Word of God! If you don’t call out someone for not teaching the truth as per scripture, that makes you a derelict of your duty! We are ALL responsible to make sure the word is taught accurately.
