“Together 2016”: Denominations link arms with Chrislebrities to erase doctrinal divisions

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 4.39.12 PM

Doctrinal distinctives? Divisions? Not any more. Several major denominations will be blended up smoother than a Vitamix cocktail in a few weeks.

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 5.47.11 PMThis summer, a “Next Great Awakening” is bringing Assemblies of God Supt. George O. Wood and Southern Baptist Convention president Ronnie Floyd together to link arms in spiritual unity with the Pentecostal Charismatic Churches of North America, Grace Communion International (formerly the Armstrongism Worldwide Church of God), and a host of familiar Chrislebrities including Hillsong United, Francis Chan, Hillsong’s pastorix Christine Caine, Ravi Zacharias, Kari Jobe, Josh McDowell, Luis Palau and others. The number organizers have in mind: One Million.

Screen Shot 2016-02-22 at 4.38.27 PMIt’s all happening in Washington D.C. at the National Mall on July 16 in a slick, star-studded event called Together 2016, also known as The Reset Movement, bringing together different religions in an effort to erase the lines of doctrinal divisions. What will they do there? Rock out to their favorite rock contemporary Christian bands of course. But their mission is “to come together around Jesus in unified prayer, worship, and a call for catalytic change.”  (I’d call it cataclysmic change.)

SBC’s Ronnie Floyd

Says SBC’s Ronnie Floyd:

“Our greatest need in America is for the next Great Spiritual Awakening to occur. What if Saturday, July 16, 2016 was the day that God brought Spiritual Awakening to the National Mall in Washington D.C.? Do not miss Together 2016.

George O. Wood

George O. Wood

And AOG’s George O. Wood, who is no stranger to blending very different cults with Christianity, says:

“A motion prevailed to affirm “Together 2016” to Assemblies of God pastors and youth leaders by praying and giving congregations an opportunity to attend this historic meeting being held July 16, 2016, on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
Hashtag #JESUSCHANGESEVERYTHING.

The huge social campaign has every media channel imaginable to entice the young cool folk:

“Our generation needs a reset. A swelling of hope. A unifying moment when we come together and ask Jesus to restore us to our original design. A generation-defining moment. Together 2016 is a chance to link arms, to lift a unified sound, and ask Jesus to reset our generation. He’s done it before. He can do it again.

It’s not the only denominational mixer going on in the months ahead. Lou Engle, Greg Laurie and others are uniting denominations in Azusa 2016 next month. And there will be others.

Does the video above believe community organizing is going to lead to HOLINESS and RIGHTEOUSNESS?

    WE NEED TO REPENT!

Calamity, judgement and destruction are coming. So many will not be prepared because they are busy dancing around.

The apostasy is here. Be discerning. Please.

Lord have mercy on this distortion of your grace and ecumenicalism.

We are in the great falling away. People are deceived to think there’s going to be a great awakening. This is completely unbiblical to believe this. Why don’t people read the Bible instead of believing this garbage ? And all religions can’t come together because there is false religions that don’t believe in God. Instead false religions believe in false Gods. And Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one can come to the Father except through Him. Ecumenical is is a deception !!! The apostasy is definitely here !

      I completely agree, Mary.

This gathering of diverse groups and doctrines is simply a further fulfillment of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that would take place prior to the Rapture (2 Th. 2:1-2). The third great awakening that has been anticipated for so long will begin on October 3, 2016, the day AFTER the Rapture (Mt. 25:1-13) which will take place on October 2, 2016. This is all explained at http://www.endtimewarnings.net. The Rapture – The Feast of Trumpets – October 2, 2016!

Please tell me this is just a joke done in bad taste.

Have you bothered to read the six quotes by the Lord Jesus that ALL would be known? Probably not. Do you think it might be a good idea to do so? Probably not. Will you take the time to read and ponder upon those six quotes by the Lord Jesus? Probably not. Enjoy your sleep, Phil!

    • Manny1962 December 4, 2016 at 4:41 pm #

Here we are December 4th, 2016………….. No man knows the day or the hour, what we are told to watch out for is various signs with NO dates! These signs point to coming judgement, but there is NO precise date! Date setting is foolish and unbiblical!

  5. Darrel February 24, 2016 at 10:29 am #

    Robert,
Have you bothered to read Mark 13:32?
Obviously not, or you would not be so arrogant to say the rapture will occur on Oct. 2, 2016. What will you do on Oct. 3, 2016 when you find yourself still alive on earth? If you are it will be because of the mercy of the God you mock with your inane prediction.

“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Mark 13:32

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” Matt. 25:13.

Care to revise your prediction to include the time of day? Central time zone USA will do just fine.

I can’t wait to see how you twist these verses to your own destruction.

    • Robert E. Schoenlw February 24, 2016 at 11:50 am #

      Darrel,

I have learned during the past 40 years that the most well known Bible verses by both believers and nonbelievers alike are Matthew 24:36 and Mark 13:32. A composite of both reads as follows:

“But of that day and (Mt. 24:36a; Mk. 13:32a) that (Mk. 13:32b) hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels (Mt. 24:36b; Mk. 13:32c) of heaven (Mt.24:36c), who are in heaven, neither the Son (Mk. 13:32d), but (Mt. 24:36d; Mk. 13:32e) the Father (Mk. 13:32f), my Father only (Mt. 24:36e).

What you and most people don’t know is that there were three stages to a Jewish marriage: 1. the engagement. 2. the espousement. 3. the marriage supper. The significance of each stage is explained in detail within the treatise, ‘A Biblical View of the Past, Present, & Future!’ However, since those like you will not bother to seek it out, I will simply inform you that the Jewish bridegroom NEVER knew when he would return for his bride at the end of the espousement stage because it was not his decision to make. It was always the father of the bridegroom who determined when his son would go for his bride.

The parable of the ‘ten virgins’ (Mt. 25:1-13) is a description of what will be taking place prior to the Rapture, the Rapture itself, and after the Rapture with two groups of people on the earth at that time. They consist of the saved [wise] and the unsaved [foolish]. In other words, true believers and professing believers. What they have in common is their unawareness of the nearness of the return of the bridegroom for his bride. How do we determine that? They are described as ‘sleeping.’ However, something wakes them that causes them to get up and go out to meet their bridegroom [Rapture]. So when that happens with you sometime this September, please give me a call. I will be waiting with a smile on my ruby red lips!

      • Darrel February 24, 2016 at 12:54 pm #

Now that’s a “new” twist, but still to your own destruction. My comment had nothing to do with “to rapture or not to rapture” but the FACT that you were so arrogant to put a date on the event when we are told that no one will know when the rapture will occur until it does occur. Don’t you understand that by putting a date to the rapture you are trying to make yourself equal with the Father and don’t you know in all your forty years of “study” that there is only Who is equal with Him-the Lord Jesus Christ? These facts seem to have slipped your mind, if they were ever there in the first place (which is doubtful). Come Oct. 3, 2016 you will go the way of the doe-doe bird and find yourself on the trash heap with all the other false prophets before you who have “set a date” for the return of the Lord Jesus. It is the legacy of fools.

        • Robert E. Schoenle February 24, 2016 at 3:40 pm #

I cannot tell you how tiring it is trying to explain to dolts like you the clear teachings of the Scriptures. How are the unteachable able to learn? The answer is they don’t learn.

What you and most professing Christians don’t know and refuse to acknowledge is that God is a date-setter. He has always told WHAT He would do, WHY He would do so, and WHEN He would. He began this pattern with Adam and it continues to this day.

I know you have not bothered to check out my web site because you are locked in with your religious talk that you think makes you sound spiritual. The bottom line is that God expects us to know the date of the Rapture and the date of the Second Coming. In the same way the religious leaders of the Jewish people should have know at the first advent of the Lord Jesus. This is not possible for those who are sound asleep, which describes those like you. Maranatha!

  6. Debi February 24, 2016 at 11:52 am #

Ronnie Floyd is a true man of God. He teaches from the bible. I don’t believe he is having anything to do with the new world order. I attend Cross Church in Springdale, Arkansas, where Ronnie Floyd is Senior Pastor. I believe satan is twisting what is taking place in Washington in July to confuse the masses. If you study your bible, God does give us a timeline for the return of Christ. True believers will know by the signs given. We won’t be surprised. Read God’s word, you will be blessed. Read Revelation 1-3

  7. Debi February 24, 2016 at 12:01 pm #

If you study Daniel, Matthew 24 and Revelation you will get a timeline of events for the return of Christ rather than picking one verse or the other. A full study will give a clear picture of what is to come. You can literally draw a timeline of events. It it amazing what God word will reveal. We are to be a watchman.

    • Darrel February 24, 2016 at 12:55 pm #

So what’s next, Debi and when will it happen?

  8. Debi February 24, 2016 at 2:18 pm #

Watch the Middle East. When Israel signs a peace treaty. That is the beginning! Read Matthew 24. Jesus tells what to watch for. The books I referenced in the previous post will give the time line. It does not give an exact date but it does say what to watch for. We can be ready. And it’s not about America. It’s about Israel!

  9. Darrel February 24, 2016 at 4:56 pm #

    Robert and Debi,

Are you guys married or something?

It must be tough having ears to hear and cannot hear. How’s that working out for the both of you? Perhaps the Lord will have mercy on you and you will, one day, come to senses. Please let us know if that happens. Please come back on Oct. 6, 2016 (giving you a few days to gain your composure after your “prophesy” fails) and tell us how you made it through and when your next, sure to fail, prediction is for the rapture and/or second coming. I can’t wait to hear the excuses you will tender.

    • Robert E. Schoenle February 24, 2016 at 10:21 pm #

I am available, if little Debi is interested, because she has way more on the ball than religious guys like you. it seems obvious that you are not much of a Bible student. A good church goer probably, but not very knowledgeable biblically or intellectually astute. So there is little reason to continue this exchange with you. As Debi said, simply watch the daily newscast. Maybe you will finally wake-up one of these days and plug in.

  10. Debi February 24, 2016 at 5:21 pm #

Excuse me Darrel, I did not predict anything. I said read your bible. Obviously you can’t read or comprehend what I wrote.

  11. Debi February 24, 2016 at 5:32 pm #

Robert, I agree. The bible is full of dates and times. It just takes research and study to
To understand. GOD gave very specific directions on the building of the Arc and of his temple. Just two examples. Why wouldn’t he be specific about the return of Christ? I’m not date setting. But I have eyes and ears to know that prophesy is playing out. I think many people are blind because they don’t know what the word of GOD says.

  12. Rose Pappas February 26, 2016 at 11:22 am #

to much hollywood style hype. to much eccumenical poisoned kool-aid. to much strange fire trying to re-kindle Azusa Street. Azusa cannot be reproduced by a lot of human razzle dazzle. to much scriptural compromise for “eccumenical unity” and the thing hasn’t even started yet. Go back to challenging the individual soul to repent and Follow Jesus. Back to the Scripturally approved way of doing things.

  13. Kari March 29, 2016 at 12:15 pm #

I completely agree with you Debi, your spot on with your studies! I’ve done some too and agree 🙂 Jesus says to watch for the signs!

  14. Bill December 4, 2016 at 4:09 pm #

Maybe some Baptists were saved. Let’s hope so!

  15. Manny1962 December 4, 2016 at 4:43 pm #

Watching for signs, not dates! It points to the end days and the culmination of history, as for the day and hour no man knows!
