Who is Nick Hall?

The big buzzword in Christendom this summer is UNITY. You might be surprised at how many events are gathering millions worldwide and encouraging them to drop their doctrinal differences to hold hands for the cause.  Behind these Unity gatherings you’ll find Nick Hall and his Pulse Movement.

What is the Pulse Movement? It is the power behind the biggest Christian mixer events in the nation and world. Together 2016, The Gathering 2016,  Momentum Conference, The Reason, Younger Leaders Gathering, Unite National Day of Prayer.  All of these global gatherings have one mission: to talk about and get people used to the idea of Unity.

Pulse claims more than 150 large gatherings of Christians around the world under the Unity banner. Organizers say that every event is embedded in a strategic process and spearheaded by local partners who then carry the message on long after the event. Additionally, Hall has embedded Pulse into nearly all of the major Christian music festivals, which have signed on to start talking more about UNITY.

You might not have heard of The Pulse Movement; its founder Nick Hall wants to keep it that way:

“We’re not interested in making the PULSE name known; we want the name of Jesus to be known. Since PULSE’s founding, we have linked arms with hundreds of ministries and churches around the world to fuel evangelistic movements.”  – Nick Hall, founder of The Pulse

(There are plenty of conspiracy theories out there. This, coincidentally, is the International Year of Pulses, according to the United Nations.)

Who is Nick Hall?

Screen Shot 2016-07-14 at 1.59.34 PM

Until a few months ago, many of you had never heard of Nick Hall, until you saw photos of him with Pope Francis at the Vatican.  Hall invited the Pope to address the one million Christians gathered in Washington D. C. in a few days for Together 2016-Reset. The Pope agreed, and will be among the many “thought leaders” Hall has invited to influence attendees. Unfortunately, there are many celebrities who are leaders in false movements like the Word of Faith Prosperity and the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) movements.  Read more here.

Screen Shot 2016-07-13 at 4.50.35 PMHall was recently called “this generation’s Billy Graham” in a recent publication, in which Hall said Unity means laying aside our differences:

“We can find common ground. We can work together for the common good. Jesus is an example of leadership. Even Gandhi, together with so many famous dignitaries and leaders throughout history, looked to Jesus’ life as an example.”

Nick Hall’s Partnerships

Of additional concern is his membership and leading in some of the biggest global unity alliances in the world: At age 33, Hall sits on the leadership teams for the US Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, a global ecumenical group partnered with the United Nations, and also the National Association of Evangelicals, a left-leaning group representing the progressive wing of Evangelical leadership. Hall also sits on the student advisory team for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA).

Since founding The Pulse, his vast array of partnerships has expanded exponentially. One thing is certain: No one – not even the Pope – has had more traction in his efforts to loosen biblical doctrine for unity than Nick Hall.

Another wolf, arrogant, willful, lover of money, lover of hype, egoist, flatterer…..the list goes on and on. Just one more of the countless we are warned about in the bible. He has no compunction throwing the Gospels out the window for the sake of apostasy and heretical unity. This man is a fraud like Warren, Hybels, the Vatican and those that propose ecumenism is intended by God. Steer clear of these types, and many, many more are coming down the road.

      Exactly Manny. Christ warned of wolves and false teachers, along with deception as signs of His soon return. It’s ironic this man is a member of the Lausanne Committee, so is Billy Graham – another wolf. Birds of a feather…. {https://watch.pair.com/lcje.html}

Another interesting thing is that the Orlando nightclub was called Pulse too. And, knowing where all of this is going, I’ll just bet they make some reference to it, and with Hillsong being there, maybe there will even be another proposal or same sex kiss or some other abomination. It will be interesting to find out, that DC one is this Saturday.

Yes, it’s all primed to lead towards unity, the wrong kind of unity. It’s leading to the one world religion under antichrist as in Revelation 13:

“And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea… (Rev. 13; 1), and they worshiped the beast… (Rev. 13; 4), …All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb…(Rev. 13; 8), …Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth…(Rev. 13; 11), and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast… (Rev. 13; 12), telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast… (Rev. 13; 14), and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed…(Rev. 13; 15).

“Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me,
“Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” Rev. 14; 13

    NO UNITY:

“Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, CONTRARY TO THE DOCTRINE WHICH YOU LEARNED, and AVOID them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech DECEIVE the hearts of THE SIMPLE.”
    Romans 16; 17-18

Many more verses on “NO UNITY” are available but one suffices and that should make it clear.

*Note also that I do not always look back for replies to my comments, my apologies in advance.

Faith, you bring up the admonition to avoid false teachers in Romans 16:17-18, but there is a Biblical call to unity. Biblical unity is not compromise with false teachers and unbelievers, as Nick Hall wants to believe. Biblical unity is what Paul desires for all believers, that we would esteem others higher than ourselves (Philippians 2:3) , not cause our brethren to stumble (Romans 14), and bear each others’ burdens (Galatians 6:1-2).

Paul desires for us to be of one mind (Romans 15:5-7, 1 Corinthians 1:10, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Philippians 1:27, Philippians 2:2). This means we patiently teach those who do not yet understand all of the doctrines of Christianity (2 Timothy 2:24-26).

Thank you for this comment, berlorac.

      • Faith July 15, 2016 at 8:20 pm #

        Belorac and Maggie,

There is a huge difference between true unity and false unity. That is the key.
We are called to true unity. We are called away from false unity. We are called to separate from apostasy, not unite with it. There is a biblical call to separation. We cannot attend an event like Together 2016 because of obvious apostasy. This is not simply tolerating the weaker brethren. The weaker brethren are teachable. They have not turned against the truth. This event is in an effort to unite believers with apostates and apostasy. You win no one and nothing by attending it. Where, oh where, in such an event are these deceived masses able to be taught by a real true teacher? Nowhere, because none are there.
Do not be deceived by their wiles!

I’ll bet those attending the Golden Calf Festival under Aaron had the same excuses; ‘ah, but we are brothers, and we must unite!’ Uh….. no.

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?…” 2 Corinthians 6; 14

“Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE,” says the Lord. “AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.”
        2 Cor. 6; 17

“Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ” 1 Cor. 15; 33

“”Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them instantly.” Numbers 16; 21

        • berlorac July 15, 2016 at 9:12 pm #

Hi Faith, I didn’t discard what you had pointed out regarding separation. I said, [Faith, you bring up the admonition to avoid false teachers in Romans 16:17-18, but there is a Biblical call to unity. Biblical unity is not compromise with false teachers and unbelievers, as Nick Hall wants to believe.]

I don’t “attend church” any longer because I cannot find one that is Biblical. I have separated, locally, from the false teachers and prefer to worship alone and with believers outside of the “church” setting rather than put myself under false teaching. So, yes, I agree with you that separation is necessary. And these ecumenical events are to be avoided and spoken against.

At the same time, however, we must not forget that the Body is one and there is to be unity in the Spirit (Ephesians 4:3). Sometimes, it seems that there is more of an effort by some to find division rather than to seek unity. Perhaps that is a downfall of the internet where we cannot really know each other.

Q: What happens to those who refuse to take the mark of the beast?

“Then I saw the thrones, and those seated on them had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or hands. And they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” Revelation 20; 4

A: They are martyred and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.

Q: What happens to those who take the mark of the beast?

“Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” Revelation 14; 9-13

A: They are sent to the Lake of Fire forever for receiving the mark.

    • Lyn July 15, 2016 at 12:11 am #

Good comment Faith. I was appalled when I saw the video of John MacArthur stating you could take the mark of the beast and still be saved! What a heretical teaching; and yet, he has a loyal ‘following’. When some uphold their favorite celebrity preacher over God’s truth, you know we are living in the time of great deception.

  4. Lyn July 15, 2016 at 7:53 am #

I only referenced to him because Faith had mentioned the mark of the beast, and this article is about a false teacher as well. It isn’t about the mark either, yet, no reprimand was given for mentioning the mark. Could it be mentioning JMac is the reason for the reprimand?

  5. Darrel July 15, 2016 at 9:14 am #

Gee, I hope it’s ok to talk about America’s evangelist, the one, the only Billy–I really am a heretic–Graham.
BG was the figure head “leader” and “instigator” of the Lausanne (ecumenical/heretical) movement in the ’70s. The real brain child of this was John Stott, an Anglican, an exceedingly wicked and stealthy minister of antichrist. The ‘front’ for the Lausanne Movement is called “Perspectives” which has been highly successful in infiltrating the Goat Barns (“churches”) of the world. There is no ecumenical endeavor that has not signed on to the Lausanne way of doing things; if they want the favor and support of their fellow ecumenicals, their signature to the Lausanne is a must. [A search of ‘Lausanne’ and/or ‘Perspectives’ will reveal an abundance of sites that have nothing but praise for themselves, as they mock the God they purport to serve.]

It’s just as much a part of ‘discernment’ to listen to what people don’t say as it is to listen to what they do say. The “Favorite Son Syndrome” is a cruel task master and none know that they have been infected by this malady until the Lord opens their eyes. Silence is a great “tell.”

    • Manny1962 July 15, 2016 at 4:44 pm #

      From the site Laussane Movement:

      https://www.lausanne.org/content/the-holy-spirit-and-the-gospel

      “An Opening to Catholicism

The Second Vatican Council concluded in December 1965, committing itself to work toward ecumenical discussion, toward ‘that continual reformation of which she always has need’,[304] and to a fresh study of Scripture. It was less than a decade later, in 1974, that the first of the Lausanne Congresses also concluded its work. After this Congress, it was clear that there was a fresh, evangelical consensus about evangelism that had emerged. It was shortly after this, then, that the Vatican, through the Secretariat for Promoting Christian Unity, made an approach to the Lausanne Committee. It proposed some meetings to explore afresh differences and similarities between Catholicism and this resurgent evangelicalism. It was a reasonable request but it created a delicate situation for the evangelicals. The Lausanne Committee feared that, were it to engage with the Vatican, there might be a perception among some of its constituents that it was ‘negotiating’ with Rome. The fear was not without foundation. Later, in 1994, a similar set of meetings in the USA produced the document, Evangelicals and Catholics Together, and this caused a firestorm. The Lausanne Committee therefore decided to keep the meetings unofficial. John Stott, the principal drafter of the Lausanne Covenant, was asked to lead the dialogue. This took place in three sets of meetings in three locations: Venice (1977), Cambridge (1982), and Landevennec in France (1984).”

This was the opening rounds to Evangelicals and Catholics Together, a demonic onslaught perpetrated stealthily by corrupt wolves posing as Christians.

Unity within the body, the bride, is totally different than what “unity” means to the heretics, they want ecumenism, discard the Word of God for the words of man, much much different. Paul called us to be of one mind, doctrinally pure and not yoked with unbelievers, false teachers and the world. We must not confuse the two different terms, body unity vs ecumenism, which applies only to false visible apostate “church.” Which Paul warned about!

    • Angela July 15, 2016 at 2:07 pm #

Agreed. This is man’s efforts to bring about unity. An Ishmael?

  7. Faith July 15, 2016 at 8:52 pm #

After seeing all that I have seen for so long, I have come to a conclusion. I used to scratch my head and wonder, ‘why don’t they see it?’ ‘how can they not see it?’ I mean, true believers have the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. I know we don’t all ‘get it’ all at once, and coming out of deception can take a while. But some things are so obvious, and then when someone bothers to warn the person about it, and they still don’t see it, and they even get angry, it looks like they don’t want to get it.

We see them all the time. People who claim to be Christians and gay at the same time, or that you can still be saved some other way, or some other total abomination and heresy that is obvious to us, but you can try till you are blue to convince them. It is a true mind boggler. Despite 1 Cor. 6; 9-11 that states no homosexual will get to heaven, or even a fornicator, and that such WERE some of you until you got saved, it’s impossible to get it through to them.

My conclusion is that they just ‘want’ that thing, whatever it is, to be okay, SO bad, that they convince themselves and shut everything else out. They have turned a blind eye to the truth of God. So when someone comes along and says, “oh, it’s okay to be gay,” or “it’s okay to take the mark”, or whatever, they just grin and swallow, or they want it so bad, they want that ‘teacher’ to be a good guy so bad, that they will lie to themselves. He can then literally say, “oh, it’s okay to worship the devil and not repent, you’ll still be okay, you can blaspheme Jesus and the Holy Spirit and still be saved,” etc. etc. and they will believe it. It is a very dangerous place to be. And then there are the Judas’ who betray the Lord for money.

I think that is how people get reprobate. Please, repent now before it is too late, anyone on here reading this. God’s Word is above all else.

  8. Manny1962 July 15, 2016 at 10:06 pm #

In the last days, people will gather around teachers that will say what they want to hear. Teachers that say homosexuality is not a sin, neither is fornicating, neither is drunkeness, stealing, infidelity………These teachers will assuage their ears, make them feel better for living in their sin, convince them that God doesn’t care about these trivial things, God is nothing but love, all religions and faiths lead to the same God. Isn’t this the time we live in?

These Reset events and resources are literally “everywhere” around the world.
Here is a Christian conference named Reset YouS in ITALY. The “reset button” is just like the Together 2016 reset button. http://www.yousconference.com/
And, a Reset Christian youth conference in FL coming up: http://www.vertical.life/events_reset.html#
Louisiana Baptists offers “RESET: Church Revitalization Resources”: http://www.vertical.life/events_reset.html

The words pulse, together, and unity are being used extensively too, just like reset… in government, business, secular, christian. Examples:
    https://pulse.cio.gov/
    http://www.resetyouths.com/#about
    https://www.pulsenetwork.com/
    http://www.together4europe.org/en/

I do not believe it is a coincidence that these words are being used extensively everywhere. The Lausanne Movement and the United Nations and the Pope as well as government, businesses, etc. are closely linked and are all working together.
    https://www.lausanne.org/content/lga/2016-03/the-restorative-economy
    https://www.lausanne.org/content/lga/2016-05/climate-change-after-paris

A clue that the Lausanne Movement is a movement of and for the purposes of men and not God is in this concluding statement from the Lausanne Covenant, “Therefore, in the light of this our faith and our resolve, we enter into a solemn covenant with God and with each other, to pray, to plan and to work together for the evangelization of the whole world.” It is telling that the Lausanne Covenant is
described a “covenant with God.” Doesn’t God establish covenants with men and NOT the other way around? This “covenant with God” calls for unity of the church, cooperation in evangelism, and for social action on the part of Christians.
    Lausanne Covenant: https://www.lausanne.org/content/lop/lop-3

Wikipedia describes the “Lausanne Covenant” as “One of the most influential documents in modern Evangelical Christianity” and “in the form of an ecumenical confession, in which the signatories profess their shame at having failed to spread the Gospel of Jesus.” ***

The Cape Town Commitment (CTC) expands on the Lausanne Covenant and gives more specifics with regards to social action because according to the CTC, “The evangelization of the world and the recognition of Christ’s deity are helped or hindered by whether or not we obey him in practice.” The CTC also outlines what we should love and in what order.
“PART I – FOR THE LORD WE LOVE: The Cape Town Confession Of Faith
We love because God first loved us
    We love the living God
    We love God the Father
    We love God the Son
We love God the Holy Spirit
    We love God’s Word
    We love God’s world
We love the gospel of God
We love the people of God
We love the mission of God”
    https://www.lausanne.org/content/ctc/ctcommitment

Is Together 2016 the designated kickoff event for a worldwide RESET and for the “enforcement” of the Lausanne Covenant/Cape Town Commitment and for Christian participation in uniting the world and its religions and in radically transforming the world based on the UN’s Global Goals/Sustainable Development Goals? I think so. After all, according to Nick Hall and the Pulse Movement, #jesuschangeseverything.

  10. Manny1962 July 16, 2016 at 12:17 pm #

    Molly,

It’s my opinion, from the countless white business papers I’ve been reading lately, political speeches and comments from talking heads, business leaders, government lackies and heads……the words RESET, PULSE and the term NARRATIVE are being used liberally in different venues, I’m not sure what it means, but my common sense tells me they’re being surreptitiously introduced in to the public consciousness…… Why? That’s the million dollar question. It’s as if some sort of conditioning is happening. Also, Hillary has been given a pass by the powers that be, shown to be the handpicked favorite, Texas attack, Nice attack, Turkey coup, which was so weak many soldiers didn’t even know what was going on, to me this is a major wag the dog scenario, deflect attention, just too strange a coincidence. Something is up………..oh a PULSE club shoot out! Can this be the beginning of the. RESET? What people tend to forget is that the man of sin will “RESET” times, seasons and laws, the world banking community is looking for a RESET as zero interest policy has failed in Europe, and the world’s economy is sliding into oblivion, perhaps the banking RESET will entail a MARK to regulate or RESET the world’s economy, a RESET of the world’s religions into one, under Rome all religions were allowed as long as they ultimately worshipped he emperor (antichrist.) All these religions kept their flavors, but ultimately worshiped the Emperor, so there’s that possibility, specially when you see the rapid race Christendom has begun to ecumenism…….Lausanne is but a very good possibility to RESET Rome as the final religion with Islam, Apostate Christianity, all the “isms” of Asia, and Judaism following the false prophet who mandates all worship the antichrist.

Thanks for posting that Molly, I went to each link……… It’s so depressing and alarming. So much heresy and apostasy in this world. Chruchianity in this country is going to jusdged so harshly, these wolves will have their enchanted sheep worship Rome, then the man of sin. Remember, God will send a delusion so strong, that those that follow these heretics will be unable to see the truth. We need to pray for these folks, perhaps God will show them mercy and they will be able to see the truth. Maranatha! God bless!

    Greetings to you Amy,

Always appreciate your careful investigations, analysis, and “balanced” writing / reporting works. In lieu of that, .. what are your thoughts on some of Nick Hall’s global gatherings (such as the “Together” gathering this past July in Washington D.C. .. wherein there were (allegedly) a plethora of symbols of the “ouroboros” .. right there in the D.C. square .. in front of ? .. the obelisk .. :o(

The marketing folks of the PULSE movement had to have “signed off” on the “ouroboros” symbol (as a trademark for their event). Having the event in front of D.C.’s “obelisk” is another matter. Perhaps that was done out of sheer “ignorance”. Then again … perhaps not ? :o(

The fact that these deplorably occult symbols were flagrantly displayed at a “Christian” event (in the name of “Unity for Jesus”), with so many ignorant Christian leaders & musicians in attendance is … (to me) .. deplorable and disgusting to say the least!

While wrestling to avoid the temptation to sensationalize this, (on the flip side) .. it is quite difficult (intellectually) to somehow conclude that these symbols being “flaunted” at this event were (somehow?) .. all simply a …. “coincidence”.

Truly, someone in the high leadership of this event, had to be at least a wee bit aware of the relevance of such symbols and (in fact) apparently the “promoters” of such?
    Don’t you think ?

If Nick Hall is such a fantastic guy (to lead the “Christian youth masses” toward Jesus), apparently, he has little to no “discernment” about such things .. (so it seems).

  16. Socialism is Bondage October 8, 2016 at 1:07 am #

As a followup to my comment, I would like to challenge those who would simply “Write off” Nick & his PULSE ministry. He is a very sharp speaker. His theology in his “public” messages I find to not be deviating from God’s Word.

The REAL issue (I submit) .. is .. how much .. is Nick and his staff operating on real “truth” vs. “feeling” and “emotion” ? I don’t pretend to know. I do not.

I am deeply, deeply troubled that ministries like Nick’s (in this day) may become subject to “manipulation” from worldly powers higher than them. This, simply b/c of their Christian “idealism” .. but w/o careful discernment, and soberness of the battle we are in these days.

    Thanks.
