Global climate change activists are seeking scalps. It’s happened in Australia, and now some officials in Ireland want to bring a leftist Climate Change indoctrination lesson to stylists in County Cork.
According to the Independent Irish News, the instigators hope to bring this initiative across all of Ireland:
“A Brush With Climate’” is inspired by a movement that started in Sydney, Australia when a salon owner looked to see how to use their renowned conversational skills to get chats going about solutions to the climate crisis.
Four towns are to be chosen under the pilot scheme with local hairdressers and barbers invited to become involved. University College Cork is overseeing the project and Dr Maria Kirrane of the university’s office of sustainability said the idea was to tap into places where chat flowed naturally.
“Hairdressers and barbers not only provide a service for people, they are a real hub for conversation and social spaces within a community,” Dr Kirrane said. “Their reach is broad and gives the possibility of reaching a cohort of people that may not be involved in local environmental groups and the usual pathways of climate conversation and action. The relationship between client and hairdresser is a deeply personal and trusting one.”
The paper says information about local initiatives and national schemes will also be part of the training pack brought to the job.
But being a steward of the environment is biblical, right?
Yes! Scroll over Genesis 1:26-30 to read what God said to Adam in the Garden.
But keep in mind that while the Bible calls us to care for the earth, it never makes this our highest priority. Climate change has become a tool for Progressive social and spiritual restructuring, attempting to dethrone the King of Kings. Under the guise of climate change, Progressive Christians activists are using the Church to attempt to shift the focus from worshiping Christ to worshiping creation. This paradigm says that the greatest crisis in the world is a dying planet—rather than perishing souls lost in sin.
Climate change has never been about saving the environment. Since its origins in the 1960s, climate change has always been a pagan religious ideology, borne from a pantheistic worldview that sees the very existence of human beings as being harmful and destructive to “Mother Earth.” We’re basically parasites. That is precisely why population control and reduction are so integral to the climate change agenda.
This is Marxist ideology, not Christianity. Rather than biblical stewardship, the modern environmental movement has become a fear-driven religion, demanding submission to government control and eco-idolatry.
But Romans 1:22-25 warns us against this deception: “Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.”
Climate change activists are getting very creative to sway public views. The Australian initiative led to the creation of the Sustainable Salons network and website that offers lots of tips and training materials on how to steer conversations from celebrities to sustainability when the opportunity arises. “
“We’re creating a world where sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a reality. One where people and the planet can all profit,” says the Aussie website. “Join thousands of conscious people and businesses making a real and measurable impact by diverting salon resources from landfill and transforming it into a force for good.”
The Irish Brush With Climate scheme is being supported by a €63,000 grant from the Research Ireland Discover Program funded by Ireland’s Department of Education.
