Benny Hinn’s Confession – Full Transcript

Full statement from Benny Hinn, popular wealth-and-health Word of Faith preacher, on September 3, 2019, speaking to his followers during a Facebook Live broadcast:

So it’s all about our brokenness, our old man, we call that the flesh must be broken, must be out of the way. And today, sadly, among a lot of circles, all you hear is how to build the flesh. It’s a feel good message. That’s what you get out there. It’s all about feel good, do good. All that. Make money, all the rest of it.

And I’m sorry to say that prosperity has gone a little crazy.

And I am correcting my own uh, theology, and you need to all know it. Because when I read the Bible, now, I don’t see the Bible in the same eyes as I saw the Bible 20 years ago.

And Steve Strang from Charisma (Magazine, founder and CEO), who, we go back years, he actually he was at my wedding, people don’t even know that Charisma Magazine began with my father-in-law. Charisma Magazine started with Roy Harlan, And I married his daughter. Steve Strang was in in my wedding, We go way back. And he’s already asked me, “So are you ready to make it public?” I said, “well not totally. Because I don’t want to hurt my friends. Or my love, who believes things I don’t believe anymore.”

And I will tell you now something that is going to shock you. I think it’s an offense to the Lord. It’s an offense to say “give $1,000.” I think it’s offense to the Holy Spirit to place a price on the Gospel.

I’m done with it.

I will never again, ask you to give $1,000 or whatever amount because I think the Holy Ghost is just fed up with it.

Are you? Did you hear me? I think that hurts the Gospel.

So I’m making this statement for the first time in my life. And frankly, I don’t care what people think about me no more. So I had a guy. Well, I’ll tell you who it was, Dan Willis. I love Dan with all my heart. I said, “Don’t you dare preach that message again.”

Don’t wanna hear it. I don’t want to be a part of it.

So I when they invite me to telethons, I think they will not like me anymore.

Because If you look at the Word of God,

I don’t want to get into it now.

Am I shocking you? Good! Let’s have a high five on this one.

If I hear one more time, “break the back of debt with $1,000,” I’m going to rebuke them. I think that’s buying the gospel… that’s buying the blessing. That’s grieving the Holy Spirit.

That’s about all I will say.

If you are not giving because you love Jesus, don’t bother giving. I think giving has become such a gimmick. It’s making me sick to my stomach. And I’ve been sick for a while too; I just couldn’t say it.

And now the lid is off. I’ve had it.

You know why? I don’t want to get to heaven and be rebuked.

No, I think it’s time we say it like it is The gospel is not for sale. The blessings of God, not for sale. And miracles are not for sale. And prosperity is not for sale.

This is not a clear open confession and rejection of the prosperity Gospel. It is too measured and leaves too many escape hatches open. If someone as steeped in this false teaching as Benny is truly repentant he needs to clearly, in detail confess it and not be concerned about the collateral damage ( basically come clean ) without a fear of how it will affect those still sold out to this false and destructive teaching. The prosperity teaching has severely damaged members of my family. These Charlatans with their false message and inerrant theology have actually destroyed families, marriages, churches and they are a stain on the Church. I really do hope and pray that Benny and many all of those who have profited from this aberrant theology will truly repent. In their repentance they need to abandon any concern in regard to upsetting their colleagues that continue to adhere to the errant beliefs of the prosperity teaching. We will all be judged on how we respond, share and live in the light of The True Gospel remember Jesus words “many will Matt. 7:22 “Many will say to me on that day, Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?” Jesus response will be ” Depart from me I never knew you”. Benny has spent years fleecing the sheep. People like my mom sending money from the small retirement she has so people like Benny and his ilk can were expensive clothes, own multiple properties, fly around in private jets, stay in luxury hotels, all while calling their teaching the gospel. We can all fall into error and when we do our response should we true repentance. For examples see Jesus’s instruction to The Seven Churches in Revelation and Zacchaeus words to Jesus in Luke 19:8

Exactly, will he now preach the real Gospel? Will he turn from the heresies he has proclaimed?

Took him very long to realise he was numbered amongst the false teachers and charlatans. I pray that this is his conviction and not another publicity stunt. Or could he be using reverse psychology on us. All we can do is pray that these men repent and find peace with God almighty.

I pray that Benny Hinn truly repents of these false teachings. I hope the FEAR of the Lord is back in his life and that he preaches the Gospel according to Acts 2:38. In Jesus Name.

It was all a hoax, a day later Benny was talking about “Sewing Seeds” to prosperity, his time tested way of saying “Send me money and God will reward you”

Didn’t “prosperity” preacher, Joyce Meyer, make a public message similar to this? Oh and I believe she retracted her statement too.

The question is, will he pay back the money he stole by deceit?
